Hello everyone and good luck for Promo results! To the seniors, good luck to your 'A' levels, coming your way I know.

First up, there's going to be a meeting on Thursday. Please come everyone, we need to settle cosplay of EOY urgently! Please send me, by this coming Thursday, a new picture of your character with his/her weapon.

Secondly, please hand up 10 dollars club fund by this Thursday or Boon Wei will die and haunt you forevermore regardless of creed cause as far as Boon Wei knows Boon Wei believes he will be able to come back as a ghost and haunt you all.

Thirdly, good luck for EOY, Open House was a success of sorts. Again, many thanks to everyone who helped out so much, especially the year 2s!

I was in school today when I remembered about this issue. Since the blog was kinda dead for a while, decided to spice it up a little XD. So our dear juniors, has anything been done about the jacket? =D Ah don't worry, not rushing you here. Just interested if there has been any progress.

Hmm... promos are over already right? The final exams of J1 are over and now OP and EOY left until year end. And that would also mean TJC Open House 2007 is approaching very soon. 5 Oct! Hope you all remembered to get a booth already. Good luck everyone! Where will the booth be? (I might pop by if i feel up to it. Too much studying lately >x<)

This might be one of the last time I'll be popping by here in a while... until 20Nov has come and gone (22Nov for bio students). I know i got more to write... but i need to go off and do something more productive like mugging. T.T... Good luck to all our juniors for their preparation for EOY and PW! I'll be back =D

Hello everyone. Hope everyone is studying hard for the exams, the seniors for their prelims and "A" levels, my peers for their promos. Good luck everyone, I just want to say we all rock and are capable of very good results, you know it, I know it, we all know it, so let's all realise our full potential! (Okaaay... So I would probably fail GP/KI if I wrote a sentence like that for my promos, but who cares~) I know we still have many unaddressed issues, but please concentrate on your exams at the moment k? Rest assured that once promos is over I'll give what's left my full attention! Even manga drawing that I've failed at so far... I will get even that right! If there are any issues you think is imminent and I have to address them immediately, please tell me asap k? I will really give it my all if it is that important. Gambette~!

It's on the same day as natsu matsuri!!!! This means in the morning we can go to the anime house to see followed by an afternoon of studying and finally heading towards Natsu Matsuri in the evening!! =DD wheeee~ anyways, I went to charafest twice in 2004 and 2005 and one important thing is to go early. Though the members get to go in before the non-members in which I find quite unfair for us, my friend and I still went early and we were in the member queue and waited till it was the non-member's turn to enter. Which was a rather long wait but nonetheless, we were the first of the non-members to buy the things and i managed to get the things i wanted (though i'm no longer into anime merchandise) but if you are interested, you all can go as a club to see. raymond or boonieee can arrange. =D just post the details of the meeting here. The seniors can then decide whether they want to go or not (though i most probably won't go seeing how i don't like anime merchandise anymore =D)

update on yukata situation

hi. so, from what i know, some of you are looking to buy a yukata set for natsu matsuri. Okays, well, i can just tell you it's gonna be very tough =( yeaps. the harsh reality. why..?

1) finding the geta (the footwear)
- okay so you can go akibara (is that the name? kind of forgot). It is this shop selling japanese traditional costumes at exorbitant prices. So the getas is a problem. I'm not too sure where else sell it CHEAPLY (key word) but one of them will be BHG departmental store @ bugis. but i find the getas there pretty okay just that it's not the colour i want. There are only one colour. Cost: 21.90-23.90. Well go check it out. But other than that, it's tough finding geta cheaply. i have no idea where else. and geta are a necessity ( i think)

2) finding the obi (the strip of cloth around the waist)
- An option is the yukata auntie that i managed to get in contact with BUT her obis are not stiff as in. when you wear and maybe bend over and sit down, the obi will scrunch up and look, well, weird is a nice way of saying it. Anyway, it will be ungraceful. Another option is here: http://sgcafe.com/showthread.php?t=36173 which i'll be getting from. HOWEVER, the order closes today. =( so yeaps. Another option? well i don't have another option except akibara. =(

okays so there goes the limited options we have T.T and i strongly believe we better go yukata hunting for those who want to wear to natsu matsuri this week because next week, the possibility of finding a yukata is basically 0%. oh unless you buy the ready made set at BHG @ 79.90 for girls. i'm not sure for guys. but the selection is like 1 colour? =\ so yeaps. i really don't know how to go about this. tell me your opinions?

Liar Game

For the members who follow the Jdrama Liar Game, this is an update on the current situation on D-Addicts if you guys haven't been following the forums.

As you guys would know, Liar Game was subbed not by an established sub-group but by Lan-Break, Orichan, SacredCultivator and a number of other experienced subbers(at the moment). Lan-Break has his studies to take care of, SacredCultivator is in Hawaii at the moment and Orichan is solo-subbing the last episode (whilst being on vacation) and is trying to get other subbers to help, so it appears that the last episode will not be out any time soon. This is especially so due to Zetaf and his staff speed-subbing the finale and posting it on his site, of which I have no idea where it is. We may not be able to get the subs for Liar Game for another fortnight I guess. I will post Zetaf's link for you guys once it's up and when I get it.

Basically, It's a charity roadshow for MINDS [Movement for the Intellectually Disabled of Singapore], with cosplay and Jrock performances.

And even if you aren't planning to cosplay, come down to listen to our bands and support our cause! We've got Jrock bands Hidama [Winners of Streetfest Jrock competition] and Aries Kaizer, along with Mizuki, doing the performance she did at cosfest this year.

Search for Yukata...

Since many of us have agreed that we are going to Natsu Matsuri on the 25th August 2007, Huixian and I, Denise, will be going to this house on next Wednesday where the aunty there sells Yukatas at, apparently, a very cheap price. However, from what i can tell, it's not a shop so it's not some place you can just waltz in and out of. =D

The prices, from what i've heard, are around $20 or so which is VERY CHEAP considering it's a yukata =) so if any of you are interested in getting one, tell me or Shino (huixian) soon and we will TRY our best to help you. Tell us your budget too! Can get our no. from the contact list. Otherwise, you would have to find some other way yourself. Thanks! I'm not too sure if there are those for guys but if you want, can just give us your number and we'll help i guess. =D

hey hey guys! I managed to get this place up and running with a functional layout (finally!). Anyway, this will be Temasek Junior College MAGIC club's official blog as of today. Generally you can use the blog to post up interesting anime that you think deserves mention, stuff going on in the animanga-jap cultural world in Singapore, or give music and manga reviews, as long as it is in the interest of the club.

Ok just a few things to keep in mind when you want to post here...

I'm sorry to say this, but no personal rantings on homework or PW on this blog. That sort of stuff should be reserved for your own personal blogs. Youtube embeds are allowed as long as they don't screw up the layout. Music is allowed too. Last but not least, try to use proper English - it doesn't have to be Queen's English - when you post. It would not be very good for our image if someone from the school reads this blog and sees someone type LiKe ThIs or say stuff like "tat day i go to cosfest den damn hot sia... SIANZZZ...". We still do carry the school name even if we are an independent interest group.

I hope I don't sound too harsh and discourage members from chipping in but let's try to make this as official as possible. I'll also be putting up a tagboard so any rants or comments too short for a proper post can go there.

All right, start posting and bringing this place to life! Also, to all members who have not accepted the email invitation I sent out, please do so ASAP. Thanks!
